Friend Makin' Mondays - Courtesy of Kenlie

I was reading a blog post by Kenlie at http://www.alltheweigh.com/ and she had a post called "Friend Makin' Mondays" which helps you learn about your fellow bloggers and connect to other bloggers.  I thought it was a neat idea, so here you go....

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules.  If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s questions on your own blog then add your link in the comments section at: http://www.alltheweigh.com/ so everyone can all see your FMM questions and answers. Please invite your blog readers to add their links there too so everyone has to opportunity to be seen. The idea is to connect with other awesome bloggers so take a moment to post your own FMM post and comment on a couple of other posts. Now it’s time for this week’s topic!

FMM: Q & A

1. What’s the most obnoxious word/phrase you use on a regular basis?
"Seriously!"  I think I picked it up from Grey's Anatomy and I say it all of the time.

2. What’s the most memorable bumper sticker you’ve ever seen?
I saw one that said, "If you can read this you're too close.  Stop tailgating or I'll flick a booger on your windshield."  Crude, but funny.

3. Share one pet peeve that causes you more grief than it should.
Being that I'm a total control freak with OCD, there are lots of things that bug me.  Mostly, I just try to ignore most of them.  I would say the one that bugs me the most is when the toilet paper is on the roll incorrectly.  It goes OVER, not under!  Have you ever seen the toilet paper under at a hotel?  I haven't.  I rest my case!

4. What are your thoughts on re-gifting presents?
I've only done it once.  I was invited to a last-minute wedding and I needed a gift to take.  I had received these silver candle holders as a gift.  I knew I would never use them, so I re-gifted them.

5. What was your biggest accomplishment this week?
I shot a tennis ball at about 50 yards with a .22 pistol.  I bought a pistol to learn how to target shoot.  I've been to the range about 4 times now, and I'm getting better every week.  My husband said I'm a better shot than he is.  So, intruders beware!

6. What’s the title of the last movie you watched?
"The Dilemma."  It was somewhat funny, but I wouldn't pay money to rent it.  Wait for it to come to cable.

7. If you could only choose one, would you rather have a full-time cleaning person or a full-time chef?
Cleaning person.  I don't mind cooking, but I hate cleaning.

8. Do you enjoy shopping for clothes, or do you dread it?
Both.  It's difficult to find clothes that fit me properly being a larger woman.  If I find something I like, half the time they don't have my size.  It's very annoying.  But I love new clothes.

9. What’s your favorite sport to play/watch?
I like to play volleyball.  I absolutely LOVE to watch college basketball.  Specifically, the University of Louisville Cardinals.  I'm a total addict.  I tend to yell at the television and clap and pump my fist in the air when I'm watching my game.  My older dog, Peppy (16), is used to this behavior and ignores me.  However, my younger dog, Scarlet (6), gets very nervous when I'm watching the game.  We've only had her about 2 years and she thinks she's in trouble when I start yelling at the TV.  She has to be reassured repeatedly that she isn't in trouble.  I hope some day she'll get used to my loud fanatic behavior.

10. If you could have coffee with anyone today who would you choose?
Well, I don't drink coffee, but I would want to have an iced tea with Jesus.
Now it’s your turn. Make sure you come back and link up in the comments. Thanks for sharing and thanks for visiting my blog!

  1. Came by from FMM. One of my younger brothers is a toilet-paper-under guy and I am baffled. I have no idea where he got that habit! We grew up with it over, so why, why, why would he do this??

    1. I just don't get it! It's not any easier to get to the toilet paper.

Thanks for stopping by! I love visitors.

  2. Iced tea with Jesus would be rather nice. I'm a southern girl and I love me some sweet iced tea. If we ran out,he could just turn some water into more tea.LOL

    1. Sweet iced tea is absolutely one of my favorite drinks. I'm also a Southern Girl (Louisville, Kentucky). I've travelled around the country and its hard to find a good iced tea in some states. I'm always baffled by that. Just about any restaurant in Kentucky has iced tea. It's a staple around here.

      Thanks for stopping by!
